ONE: CENTURY PART I

Yuya Wakamatsu defeats Dae Hwan Kim via unanimous decision
    10/13/2019 2:59:18 AM
    ROUND THREE

Both men controlled the center of the Circle at various times, but it was Wakamatsu who darted in with single punches and kicks, which left a mark on the South Korean.

However, when he attacked with more punches, Kim bum-rushed him to the fence, landed a takedown, and assumed top position. He landed some elbows, but Wakamatsu surrendered his back, escaped out the back door, and smashed his tired foe with a body kick.

The Japanese star couldn't muster up any more offense before the final bell sounded, but the hometown hero could earn the nod.
    10/13/2019 2:59:06 AM
    ROUND TWO

This methodical game of chicken continued in the second round, as each man respected the other's power and didn't want to commit a bout-ending error. But halfway through the period, Dae Hwan Kim went on the attack, applied pressure, and threw Yuya Wakamatsu to the canvas with 20 seconds to spare in the frame. He dropped some ground strikes and went for a choke, but he didn't have enough time to fully execute it, as the bell rang to end the round.
    10/13/2019 2:48:51 AM
    ROUND ONE

Yuya Wakamatsu put Dae Hwan Kim on the back foot. He wisely picked his shots, cleanly tagging the South Korean on the chin a handful of times. Kim played the role of the counter-striker and got a few strikes in of his own. However, while they went toe-to-toe, they were still hesitant to strike. Expect the action to pick up in round two.
    10/13/2019 2:41:38 AM
Now, it's time for the final bout of the preliminary card.

Agilan Thani showed up backstage and was in good spirits. He may not have gotten the win, but he was thrilled to share the Circle with a legend of the sport. The Malaysian sensation said, “I am just thankful to be a part of this big card and to be fighting Yushin Okami. This is a game. There has to be a winner and there has to be a loser. I am happy for Yushin Okami, but I’ll come back soon and keep on winning.”

    10/13/2019 2:32:43 AM

Lito Adiwang is backstage! He smiled, and he also gave us a "scary" face upon request (which, as you can see, is not scary at all). About his victory, he said, "I feel very happy. I knew he was a tough opponent. He is a hometown hero, but I’m here to win and I prepared hard for this. So I came, and I conquered."

Yushin Okami defeats Agilan Thani via split decision

    10/13/2019 2:05:26 AM
    ROUND THREE

This time, it was Agilan Thani's turn to take the back. He secured Yushin Okami's back and locked-in a body figure-four, but was not able to slide his arm underneath the chin to get the rear-naked choke.

Okami scrambled away, but Thani stuck to him like glue. He kneed the Japanese star to the body and got the back again. However, when it became apparent he wasn't going to get the choke, he pounded Okami's ribs until the bell sounded to end the match.

The "Alligator" went for a last-ditch guillotine choke at the end of the round, but could not get the tappity tap he wanted. Round three is on the horizon.
    10/13/2019 1:57:46 AM
    ROUND ONE

Following the initial feeling-out stage, Yushin Okami struck. Agilan Thani tried to drag his Japanese foe to the ground, but it backfired. He returned to his feet and the striking exchanges continued.

Okami eventually hit a double-leg takedown, scrambled out of a guillotine choke, and secured a seemingly airtight rear-naked choke. Thani held on, and he even stood up with Okami strapped on him like a backpack. An exciting end to the opening frame.
